Easy Crochet Post Stitch Scarf

This easy post stitch scarf pattern features an easy half double crochet stitch and front and back post stitches. Post stitches create a fun ridge texture and cozy fabric perfect for snuggling up with in the cooler months.
You can make this scarf in any solid color or in two color blocks as shown in this tutorial. Which color or colors will you choose for this cozy crochet scarf?

This pattern includes instructions for 4 sizes: toddler, child, teen/adult small, and adult large.

Measurements & Gauge
- toddler: 4.19″ wide by 30″ in length
- child: 5.5″ wide by 44.75″ in length
- teen/adult small: 6.13″ wide by 60″ in length
- adult large: 7″ wide by 70.38″ in length
Gauge
11 HDC = 3″ wide; 9 Rows = 3 1/8″

The scarf shown here was made using Red Heart's Super Save in Dove (gray) and Carrot (orange).
Yardage Needed
124 – 472 yards of worsted weight yarn; depends on the size you make
If you make it one solid color, you'll need the following of one color:
124 yards - toddler size
255 yards - child size
331 yards - teen/adult small size
472 yards - adult large size
If you make it using two colors, you'll need the following of each color:
62 yards - toddler size
128 yards - child size
166 yards - teen/adult small size
236 yards - adult large size
Abbreviations
- SC - single crochet
- HDC - half double crochet
- FPDC - front post double crochet
- BPDC - back post double crochet
Starting Row
Row 1: In Color A, chain 15 (20, 21, 25). Work HDC into the 3rd chain, and each across. [14 (19, 20, 24) HDC]
